In this game you control a stylized martial arts master, making his way through stronger and stronger opponents with spectacular moves and impressive blows. Features some of the most sophisticated physics ever used in 2D games and other neat effects.

This game is the quest of a tough, young guy against alien dinosaurs. The guy is either going through a maze or is located on an open pad while aliens attack him at all times. As in many similar quests, the guy has many weapons that he grabs from time to time. He also can find ammo for weapons and medicine after being bitten by the dinosaurs. Basically all he has to do is kill the dinosaurs and find a way out of the maze or survive on the pad, the latter task seeming to be impossible since the dinosaurs breed like rabbits. The dinosaurs also are different; the most vulnerable are green whereas the yellow and blue ones are harder to kill. All the way through the game, the boy is seen from the above so he's a bit hard to control. It's also amazingly interesting to see how he turns his body when running around. Though the game is not complicated enough and its plot is not very well-thought-out, the main idea is good enough and you will surely love it.

This game strikes us as a traditional Arkanoid clone with a Legend of King Arthur theme. As in virtually all games of this type, your job is to use your paddle and ball to destroy walls and structures. However, in Bricks of Camelot, the formations take on a medieval feel, with wood planks and stones bearing coats of arms. Several twists help make the game more challenging than many Breakout-style titles we’ve seen. For instance, take care to avoid the falling skull tiles, which will automatically destroy your paddle. Bricks of Camelot lets you play in a few different worlds such as Sherwood Forest and The Dungeon, and you also can select from three difficulty levels. In addition, you can adjust the volume of the music, configure the paddle speed, and change the color of the ball. Still, we would like to see a level editor included in future versions, and a longer trial period would be appreciated. That said, Breakout aficionados will probably have a good time with Bricks of Camelot.

The story of Wik is not a tale you've heard, for never was put into words such cunning prose or fable. Featuring superbly detailed graphics, enchanting music, and never-before-seen game lay, Wik and the Fable of Souls will keep you spellbound with amazement.

This program adds elements of a quest game to the standard Arkanoid formula, but some stability problems keep us from rating it higher. As with other breakout-style games, Musikapa tasks you with busting brick formations using your paddle. However, instead of power-ups the game offers clues to unlocking the secrets of an ancient civilization. Be careful when installing the program; the developer tries to get you to install a toolbar, but you can opt out if you don't want it. However, there's no way around the extra desktop shortcuts, which appear without your permission. Musikapa's 3D-style graphics and mysterious theme music are both nice, though you can adjust the volume of the latter if it irritates you. You can configure the speed of the mouse, but even when we employed the fastest mode, the game was still incredibly sluggish. The paddle reacted so slowly that it was almost impossible to return the ball more than a few times. We've tested many similar games on the exact same machine without experiencing this glitch. If you have a very powerful system and enjoy breakout games, you might like Musikapa, but most average gamers can find a more appealing option.
